This year approximately 30 young men will move into our communities for the summer to play for The Dansville Gliders. These young aspiring ballplayers hone their skills by playing approximately 46 games starting June 1st till July 31st. Players come from all over the United States to participate in the New York Collegiate Baseball League and to be part of the Dansville Gliders Baseball team.
                                                                                                                                            
Over the 40-year history of the New York Collegiate Baseball League, the Host Family program has been a vital part of every team's success both on and off the field. Having the players become part of a local family helps these young men have some sense of normalcy in a new strange area. Many of the players become more than a guest, they actually become part of the family.
